ReplyDeleteI received this exact same e-mail today, on Memorial Day, to my firm e-mail address. I was about to junk it as spam and decided to Google to see if there was anywhere at FTC to forward these type of e-mail so that the defrauders potentially could be tracked down. If there is a place to report such scam e-mail, please let me know.
ReplyDeleteI got one yesterday as well.
ReplyDeleteGot one today in Georgia. Still going on.
ReplyDeleteI followed up for more information, they gave me the name and address of a (real) local business here in Arkansas that owed them the money. Scum bags need to go to jail
ReplyDeleteI am following up on this just to see how far they will go. The last one I just concluded was the famous collection from an ex-husband by a Japanese woman. I got them to FedEx me 2 separate checks and later another letter with a check. Total of the 3 checks was $982,000. All 3 were bogus cashier's checks.

ReplyDeleteDear sir,
My name is Elizabeth Wilson. I do require the services of an attorney to
enforce the terms of a contract, resulting in owed funds.
Repeated attempts to privately enforce the said agreement and settle this
breach of contract has failed, hence the need for legal counsel. If you
may advise on your availability, I will immediatelly make contact,
providing additional information.
Regards,
Elizabeth Wilson
